RED tells the story of abstract visionary artist Mark Rothko as powerful pigments and opinions splatter the canvases of his newly commissioned works for the highly anticipated Four Seasons restaurant. It stars three-time Tony nominee Alfred Molina in his critically acclaimed London and Broadway role to rage against the influences of commerce in the art world — and occasionally his assistant— in a masterful exploration into the soul of an artist that will forever change the way you see red.
Alfred Molina (Art and The Cherry Orchard) reprises his critically acclaimed London and Tony Award nominated Broadway role to rage against the art world — and occasionally his assistant, performed by Jonathan Groff (Spring Awakening) — in a masterful and perspective-changing exploration into the soul of an artist.
