Welcome to the Official CWLC Blog!

By Katie Buckland, CWLC News, April 15th, 2009

We are painfully aware that it is 2009 and most organizations have been blogging for some time, but we’ve been busy concentrating on our 4 main issue areas:
Sex Discrimination, including Title IX litigation
Women’s Health
Domestic Violence
Reproductive Justice

Accordingly, our topics will be tagged using these 4 issue areas, and we hope that you find and/or contribute topics of interest.

We are more interested in what YOU have to say than in our own opinions, so post often. And insightfully.

Today we are discussing the Phil Spector trial and whether the victim was unfairly blamed for the ensuing violence or not.

What do you think?

  1. Anne Whitehurst says:

Merced County is notoriously corrupt. It is baldly sexist. My Merced Judge Pro Tem brother was able to put assets that were in my name into a trust and distribute the desirable assets of the trust to himself and my brothers. For starters, this judge p.t. brother “lost” the will written in his own law office. The judge believed it. No one else does.Doesn’t matter.I was falsely arrested and incarcerated. Doesn’t matter.I have irrefutable uncontroverted documentary evidence of all my claims. Doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is making sure the Good Ol’ Boys win.The longer I hang in here, the more punitive the decisions get.A judge said words that strongly stated that he didn’t care about the interest of justice. In that hearing, I was forced to put my personal property into a trust so that my bothers can buy me out. MY property. Now theirs. Please, someone, look into this! All the way to the appellate level, this corruption is unchallenged. Please help shed light on this truly egregious situation.
    thank you.
