Nothing says “holiday joy” like jail for TV’s most famous men.
Late Thanksgiving night, the highest-paid (not to mention the randiest) man in all of sports got into a domestic dispute with his wife, crashed his car, got clubbed by said wife (literally) and ended up snoring on the side of the road before being hauled away, ruining Thanksgiving and the lives of his wife and Tiger cubs, not to mention his career.
On Christmas morning, the highest-paid (even randier) actor on TV wrecked Christmas for his (legally drunk) wife Brooke Mueller and their twins by attacking said…

Wife-Slapping
By helenann, CWLC News, May 12th, 2009Last weekend, a Saudi newspaper reported that a judge in Saudi Arabia ruled that husbands are allowed to slap their wives when they spend too much shopping. I’m not making this up.
Ridiculous decisions that sanction domestic violence obviously harm all Saudi citizens — men and women alike. But at a time when our government is working to undo the “us vs. them” foreign policy of the last administration and open the hearts and minds of Americans to the importance of reaching out to different cultures around the world, such antiquated and sexist rulings hardly help this important cause.

Legalizing Rape
By Katie Buckland, Domestic Violence, April 17th, 2009Just when we think that the world has hit a new low, the democratically elected government of Afghanistan has passed the “Afghan Shiite Personal Status Law”, which mandates that a wife have sex with her husband at least every 4 days and can only leave her home with his permission, except in certain specified emergencies.
