A native of England, Rachel moved to the United States in October 2006. She graduated from the University of Leeds in 2004 with an Honors degree in Philosophy.  Prior to studying at Leeds, she worked for a year in Eastern China teaching English to students between the ages of ten to eighteen.

 

After leaving University, Rachel became an intern at the British Consulate in Los Angeles in the Department of Trade and Investment. She also assisted in visa-issuing and the passport department.  Later, she returned to England and worked at the University of Leeds in their Learning Development Unit assisting the Unit’s Director and at the University of the West of England as a Programme Assistant in the Business School.

 

Immediately before joining CWLC, Rachel was a volunteer at KPFK radio station in Los Angeles, where she prepared news articles and assisted in the production of a weekly radio show.
