The California Women’s Law Center support California State Assembly Bill 2350 authored by Assemblymember Susan Bonilla.
AB 2350 will strengthen and clarify existing protections provided to pregnant students under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972.
CWLC supports AB 2350 because it directly addresses many of the problems that pregnant college students currently face, including the right to take a leave of absence without loosing their spot in their graduate program, the right to reasonable accommodations and the right to attend any and all classes offered by their college.
AB 2350 WAS SIGNED BY THE GOVERNOR ON 9/26/14.
SAY THANK YOU: to the Governor for signing AB 2350.
