Breastfeeding has numerous health benefits for both mother and child. Despite laws requiring that workplaces and schools provide lactation accommodations, many new mothers are not aware of their rights and drop out of school, often because of barriers to breastfeeding goals. Compliance with the law is crucial to ensure students and employees know their rights and how to exercise them, allowing moms to care for their children, complete their education, and earn an income.
Our goal is to ensure every California school district has policies in place that provide equal educational and employment opportunities for their pregnant and parenting students and staff.
Please join us for a webinar on February 25, 2021 from 12-1pm, which will discuss our work and the importance of breastfeeding accommodations. One hour of MCLE credit is available. RSVP Here.
