All Access: Local Stories

All Access Event Abortion Stories CWLC LACRJOn Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the Barnsdall Theater in Los Angeles, CWLC and the Los Angeles Coalition for Reproductive Justice (LACRJ) hosted a free, multi-cultural, multi-generational storytelling evening highlighting the stories of women and girls. As we approached the 40th anniversary of the Hyde Amendment, we explored what abortion and reproductive health care access has meant for different women over time and what it means to this day. From millennials to baby boomers we laughed, cried, shook our heads, reminisced, and recognized the diversity of experiences that women have faced and continue to face when determining our reproductive lives.

The storytellers all did an amazing job illustrating how their lives have been impacted by events involving reproductive health and reproductive justice. It was a wonderful night for all who boldly told their stories and for those who came to support the event.
