LEGAL INTERNSHIPS:

We encourage law school students to apply for a clerkship. Clerkship opportunities are available during fall, spring, and summer sessions. Although applications are accepted on a rolling basis, please note the deadlines for each term: October 30, 2026, for Spring 2027; January 15, 2027, for Summer 2027; and June 15, 2027, for Fall 2027. If you are interested in serving as a legal clerk with CWLC, please email your cover letter, resume, transcript, and writing sample to clerkcwlc@cwlc.org (in PDF format) and note “Law Clerk Applicant” as well as the session desired (e.g., summer, spring) in the subject line.

FELLOWSHIPS:

CWLC is open to considering ideas and proposals around fellowship opportunities, such as Skadden, Equal Justice Works, Justice Catalyst, or any other comparable fellowships. Such fellowships offer recent law school graduates the opportunity to gain experience in public interest legal work. Note, CWLC is not currently committed to hosting a fellow, yet encourages interested individuals to reach out to explore, should they wish.

VOLUNTEERS:

As a qualified legal support center, CWLC engages volunteers occasionally throughout the year at events and for other special projects. For those interested in volunteering, please subscribe to CWLC’s email list to stay up-to-date on opportunities to get involved. Community members are further welcome to attend an upcoming event to learn more about CWLC and the issues the organization prioritizes.
