Confronting American Health Disparities: Access to Abortion and Health Care in the United States

The California Women’s Law Center is holding a number of panel discussions this year with the UC Irvine Center for Biotechnology & Global Health Policy and Ms. Magazine addressing women’s health disparities. Moderated by Michele Goodwin, this series focuses on many of the factors contributing to our nation’s health care inequities and the impacts they have on Americans.

This event is the second in a multipart series that addresses the urgency of health disparities in the United States. Panel speakers Brigitte Amiri (Deputy Director of the ACLU Reproductive Freedom Project), Khiara Bridges (Professor of Law at UC Berkley School of Law), Sue Dunlap (President and CEO of Planned Parenthood Los Angeles), and Dean Kimberly Mutcherson (Co-Dean of Rutgers Law School) will discuss issues at the intersection of race, sex, and class related to abortion.
