National Work and Family Month

In 2003, the U.S. Senate designated October as National Work and Family Month so that we, as a nation, would recognize the importance of flexible work environments and the benefits of a healthy work-life balance.

The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) identified a good work-life balance as one of five main factors that improve employee productivity. Managers who support employees professional and personal success cultivate more engaged and satisfied employees.

CWLC knows how important a healthy work environment is to women’s success. Women are 47% of the labor force and head up 40% of households in the U.S. Well-balanced work environments build strong women, successful families, and a vibrant society.

Recognize this month with the hashtag #WorkandFamilyMonth and tagging @CWLC_LA in your post to let us know how a healthy work-life balance helps you find success!

Onward in the pursuit of justice,
